Phoenix Mommy Makeover Before & After Photos

What is a mommy makeover?

A mommy makeover refers to a combination of procedures that a woman can have done after childbirth to restore her body. To get optimal results, the procedures are all done at the same time. Typically we do a breast procedure like a breast lift, a tummy tuck, and liposuction, but the surgeries that are chosen are customizable to each patient.

Why choose a mommy makeover in Phoenix?

No matter how much women are told to expect changes in their body after pregnancy, nothing can truly prepare you for what happens.

Pregnancy and childbirth often cause very dramatic body changes, and these changes can take a toll on a woman’s self-esteem and confidence. Breasts that were once perky and youthful can lose volume, causing them to appear saggy.

The stomach can develop a bulge that doesn’t go away with exercise, and it can also be very difficult to get rid of excess fat that has accumulated in the love handles, thighs, and hips. Some women also want to treat stretch marks. A mommy makeover in Phoenix truly can provide a much-needed body boost after childbirth.

Is it safe to have multiple procedures at once?

It is totally safe to have multiple surgeries done at the same time, as long as they are performed by a board-certified surgeon with plenty of training and experience, like Dr. Craft. A knowledgeable surgeon understands how to measure the length of the procedures against how long you can be under anesthesia, as well as how to perform the surgeries skillfully and safely.

Do I have to be a mommy to get a mommy makeover?

Although it is called a mommy makeover, individuals who are not mommies can have the procedure as well. Very often, dramatic weight changes or simple aging will cause a woman to seek the improvements that are made with a mommy makeover. The combination of liposuction, a tummy tuck, and a breast procedure can be the solution to many women’s areas of concern—mommy or not.

Who’s a good candidate for Mommy Makeover?

Dr. Craft is amazing!  I recently had a mommy makeover and his care and concern from the start was professional, but yet I felt like he and the Team took the time to get to to know me personally.  Being in healthcare probably made me ask double the questions but, Dr. Craft and the Team were very patient and were always available in addressing any concerns and post-surgical follow up. Dr. Craft's knowledge, skills, and abilities are impeccable!  I highly recommend Dr. Craft and the Team!  I am so impressed and pleased with my results.  I have continued with other med spa services and planning for future procedures.  I wouldn't to go to anyone else!

Techniques involved in a Mommy Makeover

There are numerous surgical techniques used to achieve the desired results of your mommy makeover, depending on which procedures you are having. These may include the following:

Breast augmentation

Dr. Craft will use implants to enhance the size and shape of the breasts by making an incision, usually at the crease of the breast, and inserting the breast implants into the breast pocket.

Breast augmentation with fat transfer

Dr. Craft will use gentle liposuction to harvest fat from an area of the body with unwanted fat pockets. The fat cells will be cleansed and purified, then injected into the breasts to achieve rounded volume.

Breast lift

Dr. Craft will lift the breasts higher on the chest wall, remove excess breast tissue and reshape the breast with mastopexy. He may also reduce the size of the areolae and place the nipples higher to give them an attractive, upward tilt.

Breast reduction

To create smaller, more comfortable, and proportionate breasts, Dr. Craft will remove excess breast fat, glandular tissue, and skin. He will finish by reducing the areolae to achieve an appealing, attractive breast appearance.

Liposuction

Dr. Craft will perform liposuction to remove excess, unwanted fat with a gentle, effective suction technique using very small incisions.

Tummy tuck

During your tummy tuck, Dr. Craft will make a horizontal incision at the underwear line. He will remove excess, loose skin, and some tummy fat, then pull the upper stomach skin downward to achieve a tight, firm waistline and abdomen.

C-section scar revision

Dr. Craft will revise a prominent scar by cutting away the scar and making the edges of the skin even, then carefully and precisely suturing the layers of the skin together to line them up perfectly, achieving a smoother, less-noticeable scar.

Labiaplasty

For a labiaplasty, Dr. Craft will artfully remove excess hanging skin. He will then stitch the incisions closed, resulting in labia that are a more typical length and size.

Benefits of a mommy makeover

  • Patients only have to undergo one operation and recovery period, but get the results of multiple procedures
  • Patients get a significant improvement all at once, which is a huge confidence boost
